DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to take a hands-on role in leading, developing and maintaining DevOps processes for FlyNava products. You will know the full product development lifecycle, bring a continuous-improvement mindset, and build well-designed, efficient, maintainable processes for multiple product families, working closely with the product, UI and backend leads so DevOps deliverables fit the overall solution.

Responsibilities

Lead the DevOps team and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Develop and maintain DevOps processes for FlyNava products, aligned with backend specifications and overall product requirements.
Collaborate with the product, UI and backend leads to align DevOps deliverables.
Continuously improve DevOps processes and methodologies.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar tools.
Build and maintain development, staging and production environments.
Use orchestration and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Manage source control with Git and other SCM tools, crafting branching strategies that meet product and business needs.
Use Python, PowerShell and other scripting for automated software installations and upgrades.
Work with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Manage single-tenant and multi-tenant SaaS/PaaS applications.
Keep stakeholders informed on all aspects of DevOps.
Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers so processes meet quality standards.
Make practical decisions and adapt to changing contexts.
Manage backlogs and address technical debt systematically.

Skills and qualifications

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS and GCP (mandatory), with cloud experience in product release operations. Microsoft Azure is a plus.
Experience as a DevOps engineer across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
Proven experience implementing CI/CD in GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar for enterprise web or desktop software.
Experience with continuous testing and continuous monitoring technologies.
Proven experience building and maintaining development, staging and production environments.
Skilled in Ansible, Terraform and similar IaC technologies.
Proficient in Git and other SCM tools, with experience crafting branching strategies.
Proficient in Python, PowerShell and other scripting for automated installations and upgrades.
Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other containerisation technologies.
Experience managing single-tenant and multi-tenant SaaS/PaaS applications is preferred.
Experienced in Agile/Scrum, managing backlogs and addressing technical debt systematically.
Excellent team management skills.
